Shaun McBride
Shaun McBride is a former Cadet Forces Volunteer who lives and works in Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast. He has no formal training in creative writing, but his twenty-year service with the Cadet Forces, and in particular his work with children and young adults, has given him a valuable insight into the kinds of stories that would appeal to them.
His stories although predominantly in the Fantasy Fiction genre, all contain within them strong moral messages that reflect not only his own core values but also the values that a great many parents strive to instill in their children.
Shaun has completed eleven books in a fantasy fiction series called ‘The Chronicles of Dreyfus’, he has also written some poetry, but his greatest passion, apart from his family, is Fantasy Fiction.
.
He is committed to producing stories that all unfold and tie together through relatable characters and engaging plots with a very strong moral theme, stories that are written through the perspective of a simple villager, who tells the stories as they are told to him by a once proud warrior, who in his twilight years, exists as a tribal tale smith.
As yet, none of his stories have been published, though he has achieved quite a following in the learning sector, and he has also had one of his poems included in an anthology. He prefers not to use a pseudonym, though he is open to the idea.
Shaun is 58years old and currently works in production, spending his spare time either with his wife, his children, and his grandchildren, or writing.
